Child Labor, AD Campaign

I designed these posters for one of my SCAD Project class. The boy who carries a huge bag is miserably working under heavy labor. The headline came out like "Donate a Childhood"
Development Process
First, I searched some sad pictures about the topic. Then I tried so many different techniques on them to illustrate. These are ink, watercolor and acrylic. It was lots of fun to create different textures with ink. I collected many kinds of items such as branches, brushes, leaf and peaces of wood. They made it possible to catch many beautiful textures. I made up so many points, big and little mixed together by splashing the ink through my brushes. The final work was ready to scan and make some color and shadow arrangements on Photoshop to make it better illustration. I did not cover the inside of the text on the bag. I kept its natural texture, which seems behind. I also used outlines, contour lines, hatchings, and cross-hatchings. I changed their thickness. These lines helped to pop the figure up and made more emphasize on the images. I faded the background purposely to make the poster more clear and minimal. I played with the shading and coloring to make my image a little bit sharper.
